It feels very bad to hear about the city (Chennai) which has given me bread and butter for two years in the beginning of my career is suffering from huge rainfall and floods. But, this incident has also proved that material things have very least significance in the critical situation when compared to helping hands.

God is in people, not in temple

I recently got transferred to my home town from Chennai, but after hearing about the pain people are experiencing there, it feels very bad & I can understand how the parents or relatives feel when they don't know the sign of their loved ones (children & relatives) staying in Chennai.

Chennai is an awesome place with very good hearted people, this fact is proved even in this critical hour also, seeing their help towards their fellow citizens by offering food, water, shelter & most importantly love for the affected ones.

It can be noticed that, though anyone is coming to help them or not, they are using social media to spread their message to all the people who got stuck in the floods.

Material things aren't permanent

I have seen a forward message in Whatsapp in the following way

I am working as a System Analyst for an American Software Company in Chennai. Presently drawing 18 lakhs P.A. proud owner of a 3BHK in suburbs of Chennai. Today I have 2 credit cards with more than 1 lakh credit limit and a bank balance of 65 thousand in my account.

But, due to heavy rain & water logging I am not able to move out of my house, all I need is water and food for my survival. Till yesterday I was worried about my appraisal and was expecting at least 15% hike, but today I am standing in my terrace waiting for a food packet.

The money, bank balance, position, assets are of no use in the critical hours & people whom we often don't give importance like poor, NGO members, fishermen, students from normal colleges (not that famous) are caring least about their lives and participating in the relief activities to help others stuck in the misery.

The motto of the above folks is not fame or name, they are doing it for an inner satisfaction & zeal to prove that they are human beings and not money-earning machines.

I felt sad, sorry & proud that one of my friend's mutual friend has given up his life in an effort to help people recover from floods, isn't he real Indian - who considered whole humanity as his family & not just his family as his own.

If India is being able to recover from any negative force then that is only because of these great souls born in our country to re-establish our lost pride.

God will help us

We can't blame anyone for the disaster occurred which will never solve any problem, but to pray to the Supreme power to help Chennai withstand the rainfall caused and stop the rainfall which might cause some more damage with our hearts, not just our lips.

I can't directly reach Chennai to help them, but I want to help them, so, instead of making excuses that I can't do anything from here, I want to help them by praying to the supreme personality and encouraging, helping the people who are helping others by some or the other way.

Chennai... there are 125 crore people of Nation at your help... don't feel sad & don't lose heart by #ChennaiRains, We Indians will work together for getting you back to normal, please rest assured.

But, previously my office was just walkable distance from my place (room) but now comparitively it is pretty far from my place(home) about 20 kms with no direct public transport which is a little disgusting to me as a person always wants or hopes for something better than existing & not at all less than what he is currently enjoying.

So, being a person with that basic expectation I got little sick of this travelling but today morning when I was through the journey having a pleasant morning with the Power of Positive thinking

I began to counter my travel pains positively from office to home & from my sweet home to office then I realized that previously my office was some hundreds of miles away from home but it was near to my room (not home) my office was very much away from my mom's deliciously cooked especially for me than now ... I & my office was no way near by to my father's care whether I got train/bus on time as I used to go by walk previously (as office was @ a walkable distance).

That office was near to my room but far away from my home making me alone with no one to share my happiness on free weekends (from friday night) when my friends disappeared to their homes.

The conclusion was my previous office was a thousands of meters away from my home but this office is near to my happiness but indeed far from my home physically interms of distance which makes it difficult & sweet... very very sweet @ the same time....

Hi...

I was just going through some ethical hacking course and found out one good message. Let me explain you the scenario before I narrate you the message:

A Lady has just quit her task & was about to leave. When she was leaving on of her colleague asks her what was the problem? The Lady replies for that saying The task was getting hard, hence she decided to quit. The colleague who has questioned her thought for himself or told her (I don't remember exactly) saying If it was easy, everyone would have done it.

What a wonderful point isn't it - Most of the times I wonder why the problems seem so difficult and why don't they be easy so that they can be solved very easily but after reading this phrase I got it clarified that if it was easy then there is a good chance that each & everyone can do it but, as it is difficult not everyone is able to do it. Hence, by this I was able to conclude a statement to myself that if I want something instead of feeling bad / asking god for help / blaming him for the problem he has gifted me, I shall try my best to solve the problem to win or ready to fail by trying instead of just quitting saying that the job/task is difficult.

Such a wonderful insight by the movie director which I thought of sharing with you as it was very good for me to read it & use it for understanding my challenges & their hardness.

Added to that, the bigger problem we solve the bigger we become so if you want to grow big then try to solve bigger problems so that if you fail you would be wise learning the lesson as FAIL means (First Attempt In Learning) or if you win then it is great as you have started the task with an intention to win only right.

Happy trying.. & Happy failing thus Happy Learning then Happy succeeding for you & me..

As the title of the post suggests getting up early or late from the bed had huge impact on our ability to utilize the treasure which you have in your hand (Past is a cancelled check, future is a promissory note, present is the only cash/treasure in the Hand – Anonymous). Then I was thinking how shall I compose an email in such a way that it can directly communicate my message without any misinterpretation. I thought of referring to some professionals about emails but then I stopped for a while and looked at the way how my Supervisor was doing it.
I have gone through her emails one or two then I figured out a technique i.e., to test how the opposite person best interprets my mail, then I jumped into his role and was a bit surprised to find some confusing terms like if, but, also etc though they were short they caused terrible misinterpretation.
Then I corrected my mistakes and sent a mail successfully, if you are facing this problem use the above it would be very handy to avoid Atleast silly mistakes ;)
Yesterday, I was searching for the meaning of various words like patience, anger, worry, ego/pride, courage, I was able to define the previous words with some explanation but I didn't know what does courage mean? Let me tell you what I felt about the other words :

Patience - It can be called as waiting & working for the results/success despite adversities.

Anger - It is an instrument which helps us in controlling situation when it is going out of hand.

Ego/Pride - The superiority & inferiority complex mixture which neither gives peace to person possessing it nor to the people who have to associate with him.

COURAGE - ????

Then I started searching in the dictionary at first and typed the word COU while Google figured out what was in my mind and prompted 'Courage meaning' and clicked that but the first post was related to images while the second one was 'www.brainyquote.com' seeing which immediately my hands clicked that.

The moment I have clicked the link, I jumped into the sea of courage that great people defined. Let me tell you whether I found it's meaning or not? Yes, I did find that and the most apt definition was given by 'Mark Twain' - Courage is not absence of Fear, but it is control/Mastery of Fear. I have a lot share about COURAGE but due to some work am unable to do it now... let me continue it in the next post .....

This quotation was quoted by 'Chaganti Koteswara Rao' garu in his discourse on Sampoorna Ramayanam (whose discourse you can find on Youtube - You would definitely learn from it if you understand telugu)

The example he quotes regarding the statement above is that 'Ravana' who is the villian or the lead negative character in Ramayana has all obtained all the things which have glorified his Lanka (the place where he lived) were bought in an unrighteous (adharma) manner. Say, Pushpaka chariot (pushpaka vimanam) is given as gift to Lord Kuvera/Kubera (Lord of Wealth) from Lord Brahma (The Creator) for his tapasya (say one form of prayer).
The above story states that the pushpaka chariot belongs to Kuvera (who is elder brother of Ravana indeed) but Ravana wanted to possess any valuable thing thought it belonged to him/not by his prowess/power gained through his tapasya which has costed him his life, How?

Once, Ravana was flying on Pushpaka chariot over Mt. Kailasa where Lord Shiva resides in due to his respect pushpaka was not allowed to fly above his residence/residing place, Ravana has asked for the reason of not being allowed to fly which was informed to him by his messengers saying that as Lord Shiva resides here pushpaka cannot fly at any cost.

Ravana didn't know the greatness of Lord Shiva and wanted to meet him ... (cont. in the next post)

Lazy continues to use passive the same way on next day too then he tries to become passively aggressive n lazy speaks in helpless tone to get his help, out of kindness passive accepts work again... and this goes on for some days and lazy at last one day sends passive to another lazy person and the same continues. This shows us that a passive person will never be able to reach his destination.

Then we ll come to the story of Agg(Aggressive), similar to pass he will come across lazy and lazy tries to trick him to help in his work but agg does the work for a couple of days and starts fight with lazy, then lazy send him to the village head who is more aggressive n stubborn than agg. When agg comes across Village head due to the heavy weight of their heads they get in to quarrel easily which results in agg being thrown out of village. This way even agg had also been not able to reach destination.

Now finally we will come to the story of Ass(Assertive), when ass comes across Lazy as usual lazy asks ass to help him in his work and ass does that without any hesitation as he needs the help of lazy to reach the destination but the next morning when lazy shoulders ass with another work then ass comes up with a wonderful comment asking lazy to keep up his word as he has kept his word by helping him the last night, but still lazy insisted in making ass work but ass politely rejected (said NO) the work and started walking and this lead him to the village head coincidentally.

But when ass came across the Village head with polite and straight forward talk with absolute clarity not with agitation like agg, the head redirected him to a person named 'Smart' who is the final point in path of destination and tested smartness of ass (who is as smart as both agg and pass). Hence, this made ass reach his destination as planned in One night and a day.

So, in order to achieve anything we should learn to say NO. We can observe that ass has not said no always as he has accepted to help lazy for the first time, but when he noticed that lazy will not keep his word after promising to help him in the morning. Ass has decided that lazy cannot be trusted for route even if he helps him again so instead of behaving like agg/pass he politely says NO and walks away. Similarly we also have to learn to end up in WIN - WIN i.e., U WIN - I WIN situation.

I have come to know that there are three types of behaviors/Attitudes in general

Passive

Aggressive

Assertive

Passive - "You Win" though "I Lose"

Aggressive - "I should Win" though you Win or Not

Assertive - "You Win" - " I Win"

Lets discuss the three attitudes with the help of a small story....

There is a village named Life and there are three passengers who are passing through this village to reach their destination city named Success, the three passengers are Pass (Passive), Agg (Aggressive) and Ass (Assertive).

They begin their journey without knowing one and other from a place called The Unknown, it is known that it takes one full day and night to cross the village and reach the destination if a perfect and planned journey is carried out. And none of the passengers is aware of the plan to be followed to reach safely. Each passenger is tested by the people during the journey to test his ability to reach the city. (The destination cannot be reached without proper instructions from the villagers). Let us see who out of the three will be the first one to reach the city of.

Pass is the first one to begin the journey and he has a bag to carry food and water so that they will be sufficient for him till next day and journey started as he passed the way he found an old man (who was waiting for a passenger to help him do a work as his name was Lazy), Pass saw the old man sitting there and asked him for the route which helps him in reaching 'Success' while the Lazy asked him to help him doing a work of plucking fruits from his tree after which he wishes to tell the route, the dawn sets on still Pass has not finished even half of the work which he has agreed to do while the old man offers him the night to stay in his house and will tell him once he completes the whole work assigned to him and he asks Pass to set up his bed for him to go to sleep though it pinches Pass but he still does that work.

Next day he continues the work but as soon as he has finished that work the old man treats him with little praise for some time and gives him another work Pass tries to confront Lazy 'Passive aggresively' means in this way (Pass to Lazy) - " I cannot do all this work as I am getting late to reach my destination" Lazy replies "I will not tell you the route unless you complete this work" as Pass wants to impress/please Lazy, he shoulders even that work (to be continued...)

This is the chanting which has vibrated in my ears yesterday evening @ 6 pm, I had a wonderful time in Arunachalam/Thiruannamalai ....
It is a wonderful place filled with Lord shiva in the form of lingam everywhere. Our day started with giri valam i.e., pradakshina of mountain which was of 14 km in length and we completed it successfully with his blessings. It was not at all boring and tiresome to walk as the whole way was completely jam packed with the almighty's devotees and chanting. The way had eight lingams which were worshipped by eight different demigods hence they are named after their names, I actually thought that they are constructed to give rest to devotees so that can be refreshed to complete such a long journey. The speciality of the mountain is it looks in different shapes of siva and nandi at different places during the pradakshina.
After completion we set ourselves in comfortable position to have nice view of jyothi exactly in front of temple.
Now during jyothi darshanam, this is almost for the first time in my life I m watching any thing like this. When we saw the jyothi for the first time the whole place was chanting the almightys name (as I mentioned in the title of the post) with such a enthusiasm that it was a goose bumps giving experience and along with that crackers were also being exploded and the raja gopuram was glowing, with flashing lights on to it. Having the sight of gopuram on left and jyothi darshan on right with eyes and sound of chanting and crackers reverberating in the ears made it the best ever moment of my life and meant to me that this is the wonderful tribute given to the almighty by the mankind as a small return gift to the priceless things gifted by him.
I forgot to tell, before the jyothi darshan the clouds were passing by the tip of the mountain as if they were doing abishekam to the lingam ( as mountain is also considered as form of shiva/lingam here) or according to my imagination it can be putforth in another way as is the other demigods were coming to see this feast on clouds as their vehicles....

I am working in a MNC and I am undergoing training, in addition to technical and behavioural they are also conducting sessions to turn us into Orators (whom I thought are "effective speakers" in the beginning). At the end of course, I came to know who is a real Orator?
An Orator is a person who does not speak for the sake speaking something to accomplish his purpose instead he takes the listeners into the topic which he is speaking, he mesmerises them by his speech and stage presence, he does not need any preparation for speaking as he will be a reservoir of knowledge and very confident person.
I realized that becoming an Orator is a long or even life time journey which I want to begin now ... which can only be achieved through continuous improvement and determination as our mentor adviced us...
